Die-casting release agent is a water-based substance used between the mold and the finished product. It mainly prevents the product from sticking to the mold and is a type of production auxiliary agent that facilitates demolding. Due to the rapid development of the die-casting industry, the usage of release agents has also greatly increased. Release agents mainly fall into three categories: inorganic substances, organic substances and polymers. Inorganic release agents, such as talcum powder, mica powder, clay, white clay and other composites formulated with these as main components, are mainly used as release agents for preventing adhesion of rubber sheets and semi-finished products during rubber processing. Release agents are usually available in powder, semi-solid and liquid forms. Powder and semi-solid release agents can be applied to the mold surface with a brush or by hand, just like wax grease. Liquid release agents can be applied to the mold surface using tools such as sprayers or brushes, thereby forming an isolation film. Liquid release agents are mainly sprayed. Most of them are packaged in metal spray cans. Die-casting machines use water-based spray release agents. Since metal spray cans have good sealing performance, they can avoid oxidation or impurity mixing of the release agent and ensure the purity of the release agent when it leaves the factory. Large-scale injection molding equipment is installed indoors, where the ambient temperature changes little, which has no impact on the use of spray release agents.
In the selection of release agents, economy is an important factor that cannot be ignored. Poor-quality release agents will cause cracked wrinkles on the product surface, affect the product appearance and mold service life, and bring environmental pollution. Choosing high-quality spray release agents has a higher price but higher comprehensive economic benefits. To prevent environmental pollution, it is necessary to select release agents that are not easy to burn, and have low odor and toxicity.

1. It has heat resistance and will not undergo carbonization and decomposition when heated.
2. It will not affect the secondary processing performance of die-casting products.
3. It has excellent demolding performance. For spray release agents, the surface tension should be between 17 and 23 N/m.
4. It has stable chemical properties and will not undergo chemical reactions with molded products.
5.It will not corrode the mold, will not contaminate the products, and has low odor and toxicity.
